On 10 November 2025, the newly appointed AI professors at LMU will introduce themselves and their research through engaging pitch talks, offering insights into current developments in AI research and applications. The event is open to the entire LMU community as well as the broader Munich audience.

Highlights of the symposium include a key note by Prof. Dr. Björn Ommer, Head of Computer Vision & Learning Group at LMU, a panel discussion with LMU's new Vice Presidents in the field of digitalization and AI, Dr. Philipp Baaske (VP for Entrepreneurship), Prof. Dr. Julia Dittrich (VP for Digital Strategy), and Prof. Dr. Jochen Kuhn (VP for Innovation in Education and Teacher Training), and the presentation of LMU's entrepreneurial AI activities by a high potential AI start-up and our AI-HUB@LMU Transfer Task Force Leaders, Prof. Dr. Susanna Hofmann and Prof. Dr. Jelena Spaniol. Special welcome addresses will be given by LMU’s new president, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Matthias Tschöp, by Stephanie Jacobs, Amtschefin, Bavarian State Ministry for Science and the Arts, and by Wirtschaftsreferent Dr. Christian Scharpf, City of Munich.
