
The AI-HUB@LMU warmly invites everyone interested in artificial intelligence – from academia, industry, and the wider public – to its annual flagship event, the “KI-Symposium”.
On 10 November 2025, the newly appointed AI professors at LMU will introduce themselves and their research through engaging pitch talks, offering insights into current developments in AI research and applications. The event is open to the entire LMU community as well as the broader Munich audience.
Highlights of the symposium include a key note by Prof. Dr. Björn Ommer, Head of Computer Vision & Learning Group at LMU, a panel discussion with LMU's new Vice Presidents in the field of digitalization and AI, Dr. Philipp Baaske (VP for Entrepreneurship), Prof. Dr. Julia Dittrich (VP for Digital Strategy), and Prof. Dr. Jochen Kuhn (VP for Innovation in Education and Teacher Training), and the presentation of LMU's entrepreneurial AI activities by a high potential AI start-up and our AI-HUB@LMU Transfer Task Force Leaders, Prof. Dr. Susanna Hofmann and Prof. Dr. Jelena Spaniol. Furthermore, the AI-HUB@LMU Prizes for the best Master's thesis and the most innovative research project will be awarded.
Special welcome addresses will be given by LMU’s new president, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Matthias Tschöp, by Stephanie Jacobs, Amtschefin, Bavarian State Ministry for Science and the Arts, and by Wirtschaftsreferent Dr. Christian Scharpf, City of Munich.

- Prof. Dr. Lalith Kumar Shiyam Sundar (Professorship of Digital Transformation in Radiology)
The scientific program will begin at 6:15 pm in the Große Aula and will be followed by a reception in the Lichthof.
