Prof. Dr. Gitta Kutyniok elected ELLIS Fellow

AI-HUB@LMU spokesperson Prof. Dr. Gitta Kutyniok has been elected ELLIS Fellow in the ELLIS Unit Munich.

With this distinction, the ELLIS – European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems recognizes leading scientists in the European machine learning and AI community who advance research and serve as ambassadors for data-driven AI in Europe.

Prof. Dr. Gitta Kutyniok holds the Bavarian AI Chair for Mathematical Foundations of Artificial Intelligence at LMU. Her research bridges mathematics and AI, focusing on theoretical foundations of AI to improve its reliability and energy efficiency, as well as applications in robotics and medicine.
