Prof. Dr. Gitta Kutyniok elected Vice President of BBAW

Prof. Dr. Gitta Kutyniok has been elected Vice President of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW). She has been an ordinary member of the BBAW since 2016 and her term as VP will begin on 1 October 2026.

Prof. Dr. Kutyniok holds the Chair for Mathematical Foundations of Artificial Intelligence at LMU Munich. Her research focuses on the intersection of mathematics and artificial intelligence, including the mathematical understanding of AI and sustainable computing.
