Prof. Dr. Gitta Kutyniok elected Head of the Computational and Information Sciences Division of the European Academy of Sciences

🎉 Congratulations to Prof. Dr. Gitta Kutyniok on being elected Head of the Computational and Information Sciences Division of the European Academy of Sciences!

Her leadership reflects both deep scientific excellence and a strong vision for interdisciplinary collaboration in Europe. We’re proud to see her representing Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and championing the role of AI and computational science in shaping the future.

Prof. Dr. Kutyniok holds the Bavarian AI Chair for Mathematical Foundations of Artificial Intelligence at LMU and is one of the spokesperson of AI-HUB@LMU. Her research bridges mathematics and AI, focusing on theoretical foundations of AI to improve its reliability, compliance and energy efficiency.
