Abstract

Minerals, the oldest objects you can hold in your hand, tell the epic stories of planets and moons. Insights emerging from a host of novel multi-dimensional informatics methods are framing the “Evolutionary System of Mineralogy,” which classifies every kind of mineral in the context of its formational environment. This approach is transforming our understanding of planetary evolution through billions of years of change
