Das Center for Economic Studies (CES) ehrt einmal im Jahr einen international herausragenden Ökonomen als „Distinguished CES Fellow“. Der Preisträger hält die Munich Lectures in Economics, eine Vortragsreihe, die einem breiten Publikum ein aktuelles Forschungsgebiet aus der Volkswirtschaftslehre vorstellen soll. Diesjährige Preisträgerin ist Prof. Susan Athey, The Economics of Technology Professor, Stanford University, Graduate School of Business mit dem Vortrag "Using Big Data and Machine Learning to Understand the Impact of Digitization“
