Visit KU Leuven during the International Staff Week and build your international network whilst exploring some of the most beautiful towns in Belgium.
During these 4 days you will explore 'The role of international educators & advisors in a rapidly changing world.' How are global shifts - from the rise of generative AI to the growing importance of intercultural competencies - reshaping our work?
The KU Leuven staff week is based in the city of Leuven, but includes a visit to Brussel and a full-day trip to either Antwerp or Ghent. This allows visitors to explore different campuses and neighbouring cities. Enjoy a special visit to the European parliament for a keynote on the future of European higher education.
The staff week includes several networking activities, a walking dinner, guided tours and the opportunity to promote your insitituion at our Go Global/study abroad fair on Thursday evening 29/10.

International Staff Training Week, titled "Beyond Mobility: Rethinking International Experiences"
The main aim of this event is to provide participants with an opportunity to share and promote knowledge about innovative approaches to internationalisation in higher education, fostering exchange of best practices and collaboration between institutions to grow smarter together.
The programme will focus on key topics such as:
- Virtual exchange/ COIL
- Blended international experiences
- Intercultural communication
- Staff development in internationalization

In an era where the volume and complexity of student mobilities continue to grow, ensuring their academic, professional, and personal quality has become a strategic imperative. This week will bring together IRO professionals, academic experts, and project representatives to explore practical frameworks, share methodologies, and co-develop tools that elevate the quality and impact of the mobility experience — from classroom integration to linguistic inclusion and beyond.
15th ESTW will be also organized as an Erasmus+ BIP for staff members. Therefore, no fees will apply and all mobilities could be refunded by the Erasmus+ programme.
Target Group: Academic and administrative staff members from higher education institutions involved in the management and development of international partnerships. A limit of two representatives from the same institution shall apply.

During this week, you will be given the opportunity to know our University and School, to participate in the Study Abroad Fair and to have networking opportunities with colleagues from all over Europe.
The main activity to be performed is the orientation to our Students wishing to do an Erasmus+ mobility, so we are willing to welcome colleagues from IRO offices or experts in orientation in the area of our Agreement.
All the activities will be held in English, a minimum B2 level is recommended.

The University of Verona organizes an Erasmus Staff Training Week, from Monday, Nov. 30th to Friday, Dec. 4th 2026 titled ENTENDIAMOCI! Intercomprehension between Romance languages.
The programme includes 18 hours in class + 2 hours online. It will be also an opportunity for sharing and networking among colleagues and discovering the city of Verona and Italian culture.
Language requirements: Participants are requested to have a minimum B2 level in at least one Romance language: Catalan, French, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, other Romance dialects or minority languages
Target: administrative staff and teachers interested in learning innovative communication strategies

Under this year’s theme, “From Erasmus+ to Employment,” we’ll explore whether employers truly value international mobility and examine the vital role IROs can play in bridging the gap between the international experience and the skills students need for their future careers. Throughout the week, we will combine time on campus with a visit to a local innovation ecosystem.
You’ll get an insider’s look at how TLU runs its interdisciplinary student projects (LIFE), join interactive sessions with fellow international staff, and enjoy a small festive workshop. Beyond the sessions, you will have plenty of time to stroll through Tallinn’s historic Old Town, explore the famous Christmas Market, and experience (a hopefully!) snowy Estonia at its best.
