Improving the creativity, design, and artistic skills of adult refugees
Improving the creativity, design, and artistic skills of adult refugees
Creative thinking is an important skill in the 21st century that is needed in both everyday life and business. The CreAdult project focuses on improving the creativity, design, and artistic skills of adult refugees. The primary target group of the CreAdult project is adult refugees who are interested in creativity, art, and design and/or have a career goal in these areas. Adult refugees who use various content areas to be creative, follow trends, try to create something every day, and build a network for creativity can develop their skills in this way. The second target group of the CreAdult project is professionals in adult education, trainers, multipliers, and mentors who are interested in creativity, art, and design and are active in adult education.
The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the creativity and artistic and design skills of adult refugees and make them more resilient in crisis situations such as COVID-19. To this end, an innovative platform has been developed that brings together creative working techniques and scientific findings. Since creativity is a multidimensional phenomenon that manifests itself in many areas and contexts, from art and crafts to design, science, research, and entrepreneurship, the CreAdult project aims to create a community of adult refugees who are interested in design, the creative industries, art, business development, and the social sector.
The specific objective of the project is to develop and implement educational and mentoring resources that enable refugees to further develop their skills and competences in the fields of creative thinking, art, and design. Training in creativity, art, and design requires a multicultural approach. The project consortium was formed by the merger of four organizations from three different countries:
