General pedagogy and educational research are taught and examined in the bachelor's degree program "Educational Science" . Here, students learn the fundamentals of educational science. The program focuses on educational theories, research methods, family and youth research, adult education and continuing education research, as well as digitization and media research.
Courses in general pedagogy and educational research are also offered in the master's program "Educational Science with focus on Educational Research and Educational Management". This program is research-intensive and prepares students for leadership roles in academia or in a practical professional field. Scientific skills are taught in the two areas of focus: learning and continuing education research, and youth and educational development research.
The teacher training program focuses on the content of educational anthropology and educational objectives, theories of educational practice, institutions of education and training, as well as comparative and historical aspects of education.
