A full-time position as a lecturer and postdoctoral researcher (Akademische Rätin / Akademischer Rat) is now available in the Surgical and Gynecological Clinic for Small Animals. The appointment will be made at salary grade TV-L A13, or if the required conditions are met, A 14.

Tasks and responsibilities

Tasks include practical work in small-animal ophthalmology, the establishment and supervision of a residency program, and active participation in research and teaching activities in the clinic.


The successful candidate must be a licensed veterinarian and be in possession of a Diploma from the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmology (ECVO). In addition, a capacity for teamwork, personal commitment, dedication, strong organization, good communicational skills, lively interest in research work and enthusiasm for the education of students and junior veterinarians are expected.


The clinic is a modern, state-of-the-art, university institution with dedicated and highly specialized staff. The workplace is centrally located in Munich and is easily accessible by public transport.
