Our lab works on development and plasticity of dendritic cells and on the regulation of innate and cellular immune responses to viral infection and vaccination using mouse models and human blood or tissue samples.

The projects are integrated into the Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) 1054 “Control and Plasticity of Cell-Fate Decisions in the Immune System” and the Transregio 237 Research Network “Nucleic Acid Immunity”.

Integrated Research Training Group (IRTG) 1054, which is part of the Munich Medical Research School (MMRS) of LMU Munich, provides a structured framework for training and supervision.

Requirements

Applicants should hold a Master’s or equivalent degree in Immunology, Cell/Molecular Biology, Molecular Medicine, or similar and should have a strong commitment to research and a scientific career. Previous experience in basic immunological techniques such as multiparameter flow cytometry, cell culture, basic molecular biology techniques, or in vivo (mouse) experiments is expected. Also, experience in or aptitude for computational analysis (using R or Python) is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (spoken and written) and team work skills are required. Start date is as soon as possible.
