To complement our team, we are looking for a postdoc interested in the synthetic biology and adaptive evolution of photosynthesis.

We employ a large suite of different techniques ranging from genetic engineering and adaptive laboratory evolution to molecular biological, biochemical and biophysical approaches.

Tasks and responsibilities

Our central research topic is the enhancement of photosynthesis by synthetic biology and adaptive evolution (further information:https://erc.europa.eu/news-events/magazine/erc-2019-synergy-grants-examples; https://plantmolecularbiology.bio.lmu.de/index.html).This project is funded by an ERC Synergy grant and involves close collaborations with groups in Sheffield and Trebon.
