The format has been dubbed an ‘eloquent traveling circus’. Well, the debates certainly have the energy and tension of an intellectually agile trapeze act! Munich is delighted to once again play host to the Lyrisches Quartett – Gedichte im Gespräch (The Lyrical Quartet – Talking Poetry).
Four seminal institutions – the German Literature Archive (DLA) in Marbach, the broadcaster Deutschlandfunk Kultur, the German Academy for Language and Literature and the Lyrik Kabinett Foundation – have joined forces to organize the format for an enthusiastic and ever wider audience.
The evening’s debate will involve Barbara Wahlster (moderation), Gregor Dotzauer, Daniela Strigl and Steffen Popp (as guests). The evening’s poems will be brought to life in recitals by Brigitte Assheuer.
In cooperation with the German Literature Archive (DLA) in Marbach, the broadcaster Deutschlandfunk Kultur and the German Academy for Language and Literature.
Tickets: 8 euros/6 euros (discount rate). Lyrik Kabinett members receive free admission. For more information, please visit the Lyrik Kabinett website. The event will be held in German.
LMU and the Lyrik Kabinett have worked together very intensively for over 30 years. The more than 70,000 works subsumed under the Lyrik Kabinett Foundation are available via OPAC to everyone related to LMU. Numerous events provide a fascinating insight into the current poetic landscape.
