LMU's Counseling Service "Studying with a Child", which is part of the Central Student Advisory Service is the first point of contact for students and prospective students with children, pregnant students and their partners, and students who plan to start a family.
Under current circumstances, personal contacts with pregnant students and students with children on campus are not possible, and the normal venue for such meetings in the Family Coffee Shop in the garden of the Herzerl Day-Care Center is closed. To mark the beginning of the Summer Semester 2021, we invite you to participate in a virtual get-together instead. We hope that your next visit to the Family Café in July can take place in person.
The purpose of the online event is to give you an opportunity to make new contacts and form networks, and discuss with us topics such as the challenges associated with looking after children while studying, coping with the restrictions imposed by the ongoing pandemic, lack of childcare services, financial and organizational aspects of studying with a child, etc. Advisors familiar with these issues from all of Munich's universities, together with representatives of Munich's Student Services, will be on hand to answer your questions..
This event is intended for current and prospective students, and student parents, students who plan to start a family, and working parents whose partners are studying. Children are welcome to attend!
The event is expected to take place in the garden of the Herzerl Day-Care Center (Lazarettstr. 62).
Registration via E-Mail. The meeting will be held in German but you are welcomed to join the event with english questions.
