Opening hours / Beginning:

10 February 2021

Next year will see the launch of Horizon Europe, the new EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, and the publication of the related work programmes for 2021-2022. In view of this, the Technical University Munich (TUM) and LMU welcome you to a virtual information day on the new programme on Wednesday 10 February 2021. In the short virtual sessions, funding experts will share their insights about forthcoming calls for collaborative research projects in 2021-2022 in all fields of science.

With the 9th framework programme for research and innovation, Horizon Europe (2021-2027), the EU aims to strengthen the impact of research and innovation and to address global challenges, with a focus on the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For researchers, this is a great opportunity to turn ideas into research and innovation. In short webinars, experts from the European Liaison Office of the German Research Organisations (KOWI) and the German National Contact Points (NKS) for the EU Framework Programme will present:

  • the main novelties and objectives of the new EU research programme
  • forthcoming calls for collaborative research projects in 2021-2022 under the second pillar of Horizon Europe, coined "Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness".
  • forthcoming opportunities to participate in entrepreneurial education as well as innovation, start-up, and business acceleration activities run by the EIT's Knowledge and Innovation Communities.
