The Munich School of Management at LMU - one of the leading universities for Business Administration in Europe - offers a unique summer program for students from around the world. From the perspectives of a business as well as a financial analyst, we will focus on key corporate finance topics such as mergers and acquisitions combined with business intelligence in Power BI.

Content
We will cover the deal process, financial due diligence and related valuation topics. Using Microsoft Power BI you will learn to describe, model and explore data and creating dashboards to improve economic decision-making in the transaction process.
Aim of the Course
- To introduce students to corporate finance concepts as key drivers of strategic decision- making. Participants learn to evaluate determinants and consequences of mergers and acquisitions.

- To apply advanced corporate finance concepts such as assessment of sustainable earnings, cost of capital and business valuation models. Participants are able to critically assess assumptions inherent in stock prices

- To develop data models using PowerBI in order to derive key insights in the transaction process. Powerful visualization tools and scenario analyses allow a better understanding of key performance drivers of the underlying business model. Especially important for managers, analysts and investors.
