Important information on the continuation of registration and the semester ticket

According to an update provided by the Studierendenwerk München Oberbayern, the agreement on the semester ticket will be suspended as of the Winter Semester 2023/24. Thus, as of the Winter Semester 2023/24 the required additional fee for the semester ticket will be discontinued until further notice. As part of the continuation of registration only the basic fee must be paid in the amount of € 85.00 at present. The deadline for making the payment for the continuation of registration for the Winter Semester 2023/24 is 17 July 2023. All the important information is available at www.lmu.de/rueckmeldung.

Please note that as of the Winter Semester 2023/24 your student ID card (LMUcard) can no longer be used as a valid MVV ticket, not even during the off hours (Mon to Fri, 6 pm until 6 am, nor on weekends)! For further information on finding alternatives to the semester ticket, please refer to website of the Studierendenwerk as well as to those of the transport authorities.
