Die Veranstaltung liegt in der Vergangenheit.

Where ideas slipped off the page and into stitched bodies.

This exhibition presented a series of mixed-media outfits constructed on miniature mannequins, translating literary interpretation into texture, colour, and silhouette. Each figure treated fabric as a narrative surface, where clothing carried symbolic weight and embodied themes of transformation, disguise, and becoming. Displayed together, the works formed a constellation of dressed bodies in which literature isrendered wearable and meaning was stitched into form.

The works emerged from a past workshop that explored clothing shaped by temporality, queerness, and power dynamics. Participants engaged in close readings of scenes from The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, Orlando by Virginia Woolf, Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, and the plays As You Like It, The Taming of the Shrew, and The Winter’s Tale by William Shakespeare. Through these texts, they traced how garments functioned as markers of identity, change, and performance, before reimagining these insights through material construction.
