Consulting

Our range of advisory services includes individual coaching, conflict counselling, and an open consultation hour. In addition, we support faculties through structured procedures for assessing transferable skills in appointment processes.

Coaching

What is coaching?

  • Coaching is an individually tailored, time-limited one-to-one consultation that accompanies development and change processes – whether voluntarily or as a result of external factors.
  • At the beginning of a collaboration, we get to know each other to clarify personal and professional needs. Once the right coach has been found for you, the appointments can take place at your workplace or at our office spaces in a relaxed, neutral atmosphere.

Career and job-related coaching

We offer coaching for academic staff at postdoc level and above in regard to topics such as career development, leadership, self-management and time management, work-life balance and more.

In addition, we offer targeted career and job-related coaching for academic staff with a focus on diversity and/or disability to promote inclusion (German / English).

Who is eligible for coaching?

After an email inquiry and a preliminary conversation, you will be placed with a suitable coach. The costs of external coaching must be borne independently.

Consultation Hours

Do you have questions? Are you concerned about a specific situation in your work context? Are you not sure about how to behave?

During our consultation hours, we offer you the opportunity to discuss individual concerns with our employees. This is an initial, approximately 15-minute consultation.

To avoid waiting times, please send us an email in advance in which you briefly describe the subject of your request.

Conflict Counseling

You are in a conflict and would like to make use of professional conflict counseling?

Feel free to contact us by email and send us your specific request. We will get back to you and are happy to support you in finding a solution.

Structured Assessment of Competencies in Appointment Procedures

A sustainable leadership culture is a key success factor for excellence in research and teaching. To support faculties in the selection of future professors, we offer a structured approach to assessing competencies relevant for leaders, such as dealing with conflicts or mistakes, team leadership, and collaboration.

Our service includes:

  • Preliminary consultation regarding the advertised position and the relevant competencies
  • Participation in the appointment committee and conduct of structured interviews
  • Written assessment of each candidate’s competencies

To ensure smooth implementation, we kindly ask you to contact us at an early stage – ideally at least four weeks before the scheduled appointment committee meeting – and to include us in the scheduling process.
