The research group initiative aims to analyze how simulation-based learning environments in higher education can be designed and implemented in order to instructionally foster the acquisition of diagnostic competence, particularly during the early and intermediate phases of competence development.
The innovative potential of the proposed research group lies in the fact that researchers from medical education, subject-specific didactics in mathematics, physics, and biology, as well as from educational-psychological teaching and learning research, will collaborate on this topic. In all of these areas, intensive research on diagnostic processes has been conducted in recent years.
