Sarah Hofer is a professor of teaching and learning research at the Chair of Education and Educational Psychology. She studies how societal stereotypes shape children’s self-concept. Her research shows when such attributions take effect, how they influence learning and career choices, and which educational approaches can help counteract disadvantages early on.
