How students participate in our work

As a university facility, we involve future psychotherapists in our work. Through teaching therapies, internships and assistant positions, they gain valuable insights into therapeutic practice.

Internships and student assistant positions

"Praktische Tätigkeit 1" as part of psychotherapy training

Participants in the training programme to become a psychological psychotherapist can complete "Praktische Tätigkeit 2" at the university outpatient clinic. We offer this on a part-time basis (16 hours per week). The next PT2 places will be available in autumn 2026. Please send your application by email to the managing director of the university outpatient clinic, Dr Herzog, by 28 February 2026 at the latest. In addition to a detailed letter of motivation, please send the usual application documents (all in one PDF file). Please use ‘Application for PT2 position autumn 2026’ as the subject line.

Internships as part of psychology degree programmes

We offer psychology students the opportunity to complete compulsory internships with us as part of their studies (during the semester and part-time). As soon as we have another internship position available, we will post the information here.

Working as a student assistant

Students can also gain valuable insights into the psychotherapeutic practice of a university outpatient clinic by working as student assistants. They support us in organisational processes, diagnostics and studies. The next assistant position is expected to be available from summer 2026 and will be advertised here. The contact person is Ms Sandra Hettinger.
