Florian Schultz-Pernice studied German Language and Literature, English Language and Literature and German Linguistics at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) and the University of Stirling (Scotland), obtained a M.A. degree in German Literature and took the 1st and 2nd Staatsexamen (State exams) for teachers at the Bavarian Gymnasium in German and English. After working as a teacher from 2000-2004 at Rupprecht-Gymnasium München, he worked at the Bavarian Ministry of Education as pedagogical staff member and, from 2008 onwards, as head of the department section ZS 4 / Speeches. From 2006 to 2010 he worked as Assistant Lecturer at the Lehrstuhl für Didaktik der deutschen Sprache und Literatur of LMU. From 2010 to 2021 he worked at the Lehrstuhl für Empirische Pädagogik und Pädagogische Psychologie at LMU as delegated Studiendirektor responsible for the study program Erweiterung Medienpädagogik and contributing substantially to the foundation of the Kompetenznetzwerk Medienbildung und Digitalisierung (KMBD)(2016) and the DigiLLab der LMU (2018). From 2021 onwards he has worked as Akademischer Direktor at the Lehrstuhl für Em-pirische Pädagogik und Pädagogische Psychologie as director of media education of the DigiLLab der LMU. He pursues two main lines of research and teaching, the first focusing on literature and narrative education, the second focusing on media education and media enhanced teaching and learning.
