Short CV:

Dr. Nadine Hammele is an expert in artificial intelligence (AI), digital ethics, and storytelling. Since October 2025, she has been working as a research associate in the DigiLLab team at LMU Munich, contributing her expertise to the development and enhancement of innovative teaching formats at the Chair of Empirical Education and Educational Psychology.

In her doctoral thesis, she analysed science fiction films from 1970 to 2020 that address artificial intelligence, exploring the thought patterns, fears, and desires reflected in these narratives. Her findings show that AI often serves as a projection surface for human questions of control, emancipation, and the nature of relationships.

During her doctoral studies, Nadine Hammele was a research associate at the Institute for Digital Ethics, where she conducted research on the acceptance of and trust in AI and developed educational materials to foster ethical competences in the digital world. She has also worked in marketing at Allianz and in the editorial department of The Walt Disney Company Germany. In addition, she has been working for several years as a freelance keynote speaker, consultant, and workshop facilitator on AI literacy, AI ethics, and storytelling.
