Hailing Luo is interested in how people experience control over their actions and decisions, particularly how the sense of agency is shaped by performance, feedback, and individual differences in control beliefs. Her research examines how subjective experiences of control are learned and updated over time, and how these processes interact with cognitive control and decision-making. To study these questions, she combines behavioural experiments with EEG methods and computational modelling approaches.
