Short Description

Martje Buss studied psychology in Lübeck and Hamburg and has been a doctoral student and lab manager at our chair since May 2024. In her dissertation, she investigates relations between individual characteristics and environmental variables in the digital space. Thereby, her research covers both everyday digital settings, such as social media apps on smartphones, and immersive simulations in virtual reality. She is also interested in interpersonal processes, behavior-based psychological assessment and interdisciplinary projects at the intersection with computer science.

As a laboratory manager, she organizes lab-related training for employees, oversees the procurement and management of lab equipment, and develops guidelines and instructions for using the lab spaces. She also monitors technical maintenance, advises staff on implementing their research projects, and optimizes workflows.
