We are proud to announce Frederic Kuhwald (Faculty of Economics) as recipient of the AI-HUB@LMU Award for the best Master's Thesis, for his work “Predicting technology trends: Measuring conceptional relatedness across text-domains.“
The Jury remarked: “The thesis develops a scalable NLP-driven framework to systematically measure the conceptual relatedness of technology trends across academic publications and start-up activities, offering novel metrics for assessing innovation dynamics. It stands out for its sophisticated methodological approach and its rigorous integration of machine learning techniques with practical economic analysis.”
