Dieter Frey is the Chief Executive Director of the Center for Leadership and People Management and held the Chair of Social Psychology at the Department of Psychology at the Ludwig-Maximilian-University (LMU) in Munich, the #1 German university and #32 worldwide (see Times Higher Education Ranking 2021). He has been an active member in science for many years as well as having worked as a consultant and trainer on the topics of leadership, motivation, innovation and many more. He is a member of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and was elected German Psychology Laureate in 1998. He has received numerous awards, including from the Dr. Margrit Egnér Foundation at the University of Zurich for his research, which contributes to a more humane world. In 2020 and 2021, the social and economic psychologist was named one of the 100 most influential economists in the German-speaking world by the FAZ.
