Promoting growth

Tree sponsorship for supporters of the Deutschlandstipendium at LMU

With the Deutschlandstipendium, LMU supports high-achieving and committed students on their educational path. Those who participate as sponsors help young talents to freely develop their potential – regardless of their financial situation.

Since 2023, LMU has been expressing its gratitude for this commitment with a special symbol of sustainability: a tree sponsorship in the university forest near Landshut. Those who decide to sponsor a scholarship are not only making a social commitment, but also an ecological one.

Sustainability that connects

The idea behind the tree planting campaign is simple and effective: just as a tree needs time, care, and good conditions to thrive, students also need support to develop their knowledge and commitment. Every seedling is therefore an investment in the future and has an impact far beyond the moment – just like the Deutschlandstipendium. When a sponsor is found for a talented and committed young person, the federal government doubles the amount to a total of 300 euros per month, regardless of income. Through this tax-deductible donation, sponsors demonstrate their sense of responsibility to society and connect with the talents of tomorrow.
