The strategic partnership between LMU and the University of Tokyo (Todai) supports innovative research across disciplines and fosters cooperation in the sciences at both universities.
LMU and the University of Tokyo (Todai) have had a cooperation agreement since 1997. Since 2007, this partnership has been further developed within the Excellence Initiative as the Cooperation in the Sciences Program.
The application deadline for funding in 2026 has passed. Information on potential funding opportunities for 2027 will be published in due course.
