Effects of the 9-Euro-Ticket on the fees for the winter semester

Students are encouraged not to re-register for the 2022/23 winter semester yet, as the amount of the semester fees has not yet been determined.

The Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts announced that it plans to reduce the so-called solidarity fee for the semester ticket in the coming winter semester due to the announced 9-euro ticket for public transportation. The solidarity fees are part of the fees for the Studentenwerk that are due each semester for students at LMU.
Since it is not yet clear at this point whether the fees will be reduced and by how much, the Student Office is asking LMU students to not yet re-register for the winter semester 2022/23. This will help prevent overpayment of fees that will have to be charged back.
Students will be informed in good time before the re-registration deadline via Infodienstmail and the LMU website about the amount of fees to be paid.
