Professor Laura Seelkopf's research focuses on international political economy with a particular focus on comparative tax policy, especially the study of tax reforms and their impact on social inequality, democracy and economic development. Prof. Seelkopf combines historical and quantitative methods to analyze how different political systems and global influences shape tax policy.
As a political scientist and political economist, I am interested in why countries reform taxes – or not.
