LMU again rated best German university

As in previous years, LMU is once more rated as the best university in Germany in the 2020 Best Global Universities Ranking.
Among European universities, LMU is placed 11th, while taking 43rd spot in the worldwide ranking. The latter list is headed by the American institutions Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University.
This latest US News Ranking comprises a total of 1500 universities in more than 80 countries. The Best Global Universities Ranking was first published by US News in 2014. The Table is based on an evaluation of 13 criteria, including the quality of academic research as well as the institution’s international reputation. The most significant parameters measured are the number of research publications produced and their significance as measured by citation frequencies.
