New digital magazine: LMU Research and Innovation

A new digital era is dawning for research reporting at LMU Munich: The first edition of the new magazine LMU Research and Innovation is now online. Taking account of changed reading habits, the magazine is fully situated in the digital world, with all editions appearing in German and English.

One magazine – one focus

LMU Research and Innovation will be reporting twice a year on excellent scientific endeavors at LMU with the goal of providing well-founded knowledge to a broad public. Various fresh editorial formats – reports, columns, portraits, interviews, and photo galleries – will showcase the variety of research at LMU and present high-caliber international researchers.

The trademark of the magazine will be its focus on a particular subject. Each edition of LMU Research and Innovation will choose one topic to illuminate from a variety of perspectives from the humanities and the social and natural sciences. This interdisciplinary approach reflects the spirit of LMU and offers a comprehensive view of current scientific topics. The first issue of the new magazine is all about heat – from climate change in cities to heated debates in society to magma chambers in Iceland.
