The IT Service Desk is the first point of contact for access to LMU's central IT services. We provide students and staff with the LMU user ID and the LMUcard - your ticket to the digital cosmos of LMU.

You can now reset the password for your LMU user ID yourself – quickly, easily, and without having to contact the IT-Servicedesk!
All you need is an alternative email address to which we can send the reset link in case of an emergency.
For many students, this service is immediately ready:
If you enrolled after the 2023/2024 winter semester, the private email address you provided during enrollment serves as the password reset mail. Consequently, this self-service feature is already available to you!
Tip: Check your LMU user account from time to time to make sure that your alternative email address is still up to date.
You can change or delete the alternative email address there at any time.
We are very excited about this new feature - it makes working with your LMU user ID easier, safer, and much more convenient!
