It is not only the military events following Hamas’s terrorist attack on Israel in October 2023 that have made antisemitism a central issue in public debate and political controversy. Various forms of antisemitism have experienced a sustained resurgence. Within universities, antisemitism is both a subject of scholarly inquiry and a political and institutional challenge, not least in connection with certain forms of protest culture.
The conversation will address both dimensions: antisemitism itself, and the question of how universities should respond to protests marked by antisemitic attitudes and to the challenges posed by political activism.
