The workshop focuses on the DFG Emmy Noether Programme, which enables outstanding early career researchers to establish and lead an independent junior research group while qualifying for a professorship. Participants will receive practical guidance on developing a competitive DFG proposal. The workshop combines hands-on writing exercises with advice on structuring and presenting a compelling research project, as well as programme-specific information about the DFG application and review process.
Eligibility
The workshop is intended for postdoctoral researchers who are planning to submit an application to the DFG Emmy Noether Programme, intend to establish their research group at LMU Munich, and are already in contact with a prospective LMU host.
Application
To apply for the workshop, please submit a brief statement or email from your prospective LMU host confirming their support for hosting your Emmy Noether research group at LMU Munich and a current academic CV.
These documents will be used to select participants for the workshop.
Places are limited. We reserve the right to close registration before the announced deadline if we receive a sufficient number of applications.
After selection: Participants selected for the workshop will be asked to submit an academic CV in the DFG format and a project summary prepared in accordance with DFG requirements. These documents will be used as the basis for the practical writing exercises and individual feedback during the workshop.
