The discussions within the “Inclusion and Participation” working group are intended to provide opportunities to share experiences, connect committed members of the LMU community, and develop new ideas.
Since February 2024, the Working Group on Inclusion and Participation (FIT@LMU) has been bringing together dedicated LMU members who are committed to an inclusive university and equal participation in university life. Supported and guided by Dr. Margit Weber, Vice President for Equal Opportunity, Talent Development, and Diversity, FIT@LMU sees itself as an open and self-organized platform for networking and collaboration within the LMU community. The working group is independently responsible for setting its own agenda and managing its operations under the leadership of a coordination group.
FIT@LMU meets once per semester and provides a space to exchange experiences, connect different perspectives, and jointly develop new ideas. The focus is on the question of how a sense of belonging and participation at LMU can be concretely strengthened. By bringing together diverse disciplinary, organizational, and experience-based perspectives, challenges and areas for action are identified, and approaches for joint projects and measures are developed—for example, regarding accessibility or inclusive teaching and learning concepts. In the future, these will be consolidated and incorporated into an “Inclusion Action Plan” for LMU.
