Conflict can occur anywhere in the teaching, study and work environment. Conflicts are often caused by differences in needs and beliefs among the parties in conflict. In order to contribute to a respectful study and work environment, LMU is committed to dealing with conflicts in a constructive manner.
To resolve conflicts in the workplace, students and academic staff may contact the conflict officers. Their aim is to listen to concerns and provide advice to those affected, as well as help with conflict resolution.
Anti-discrimination and conflict officers advise and support students who — at the hands of another LMU community member — have experienced a violation of their personal rights, in particular due to discriminatory behavior on the grounds of race or ethnic origin, gender, religion or beliefs, disability, age, or sexual identity.
