Join our exclusive LMU Gateway German Course for International Doctoral Candidates by LMU Gateway!
This weekly course, covering 10 sessions of 90 minutes each, is tailored for individuals with little German proficiency (level A1.1). It aims to equip you with the skills to navigate simple everyday situations in German, focusing primarily on enhancing your communication abilities.
If you have already learned some German, please make sure to complete this placement test (PDF, 59 KB) and send it to Stefania Visini (stefania.visini@lmu.de). This will help us to better assess your current level and ensure that you are placed in the most suitable course for your skills.

Course Information
Date: 06 November 2025 to 29 January 2026, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. c.t. (every Thursday except from Nov. 12, Nov. 19, and Dec. 15)
Location: Leopoldstraße 30, 80802 Munich (U-Bahn Giselastraße)
Course fee: 50 Euro (subsidized)
Minimum number of participants: 15
