The meaning of spacetime: Black holes, wormholes and quantum entanglement
Lecture: Professor Juan Maldacena (IAS Princeton)
The geometrical notions central to Einstein's theory of gravity are first described. Current ideas for how spacetime geometry could emerge in a quantum theory of gravity are then discussed. It is then shown that quantum entanglement plays a crucial role.
