Meet & Greet - Learn & Apply: live & local
The networking event arranged by LMU's Career Services with the firm Fujitsu will be of interest to students of all subject areas. Like all the other events organized by the Career Community, this online session is open to LMU students.
Career Services functions as the interface between your university studies and your professional career. Each year, the Service organizes about 20 Meet & Greet events with diverse employers. Each of these informal events brings 20-30 LMU students together with representatives of a single firm to discuss career perspectives and prospects. "The format enables students to make lasting contacts, which are very helpful when one is job hunting," says Dr. Stephan Pflaum, who heads the Career Community. "In almost every one of these meetings, at least one or two jobs or internships are offered to participating students," he says. Pflaum is always delighted to receive positive feedback after these events. He recommends that students should attend as many of them as they can, and should refer to the contacts they make at these meetings when applying for jobs. "That's the best door-opener to your next job," he adds.
Registration for these events takes place via the Career Community.
