Artificial intelligence is currently impacting both public life and the sciences in an unprecedented manner. The next generation of AI is expected to overcome current obstacles such as a lack of robustness or biased decision-making. But how far have we truly come in tackling these challenges? What will our future society look like? Will robotic avatars dominate our daily life? Will AI have a negative impact on society, or will the benefits outweigh the risks?

Die Veranstaltung ist Teil des CAS-Schwerpunkts Next Generation AI.

Podiumsdiskussion

  • Prof. Dr. Sami Haddadin, Chair of Robotics Science and System Intelligence at TUM
  • Prof. Dr. Gitta Kutyniok, Bavarian AI Chair for Mathematical Foundations of Artificial Intelligence at LMU
  • Eva Wolfangel, science journalist, European Science Writer Award 2018

The event will be streamed in English. Prior registration by email is required. For further information, see the CAS website.

The Center for Advanced Studies at LMU provides a forum for scientific exchange and discussion that bridges the divide between the established disciplines. Its activities are designed to promote all forms of collaborative research and to stimulate interdisciplinary communication within the University. In addition, it facilitates the integration of visiting scholars and scientists into the academic life of the University.
