The large number of intra- and international violent conflicts being waged now and in the recent past are a cause for growing concern. As military threats and economic disruptions exacerbate the multi-crisis triggered by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and the increasingly tangible effects of climate change, this build-up of pressure is issuing ever more frequently in violent conflicts and even wars. To conclude the “Prevention of Conflicts” lecture series, Dominic Rohner (Lausanne) and Abraham Newman (Georgetown University) will be giving a presentation at CAS on 15 and 16 January.
