The event will be held in German:
In addition to ambitious emissions reductions, CO₂ removal from the atmosphere (carbon dioxide removal, or CDR) is needed to achieve climate goals. The methods currently being researched have varying effects and side effects and are, in some cases, controversial. What is feasible, and what is desirable? CDRterra is investigating which methods should be implemented and developing assessment methods.
This workshop will discuss criteria for evaluating CDR methods and their implementation: What matters most: low costs, biodiversity, equitable distribution of impacts or effectiveness?
Request show: Using the Q-method, participants can sort and weight the criteria according to their own preferences. If consent is given, the data will be anonymized for research purposes. Participation is voluntary.
The workshop is open to anyone who would like to help shape CO₂ removal efforts in Germany. No prior knowledge is required.
