ARTigo – a social tagging platform – provides a playful way to see well-known paintings from new angles and thus gain fresh insights. The object is to attach keywords to the pictures portrayed.

A new round of the game will be available from 12 April 2023: How do you describe the reverse of works of art? Everyone is welcome to try their hand at this new challenge!

In the context of this event, the archive and collections of the Herzogliches Georgianum (Ducal Georgianum) and the University Archive are also organizing a Presentation of historic musical instruments and performance materials.

The Provenance Research Day will take place this year for the fifth time, born of an initiative launched by the Arbeitskreis Provenienzforschung e.V. (Provenance Research Workgroup). For the third year running, an assortment of LMU institutions and collections are taking part.

This event will be held in German. Participation is free of charge. For more information about the game, please visit the ARTigo website.
