At this year’s conference, the various areas of application covered by the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) will be explored and debated in plenary addresses, discussion forums and workshops. ICF is a World Health Organization (WHO) framework.
A broad spectrum of experts and experienced ICF users will provide insights into the implementation and ongoing development of this framework. The event will facilitate dialogue across professional boundaries and between users from widely differing backgrounds. It will also support the application of ICF throughout the entire lifecycle and in varying life situations. The conference will thus cover a fascinating mix of specific ICF application options and high-level topics.
The aim is to share information about different ways in which ICF is applied for children, adolescents and adults, and thus to drive its further use in practice while also encouraging interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary dialogue.
The ICF User Conference 2023 is jointly organized by the ICF-CY working group, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Rehabilitationswissenschaften (German Rehabilitation Science Association) and the Pettenkofer School of Public Health.
