“I Just Don’t Know Who to Believe Anymore”: Institutional Cynicism and the Climate Crisis

Speaker: Prof. Debra J. Davidson, Ph.D.

Moderation: Prof. Dr. Henrike Rau (LMU)

Debra J. Davidson is Professor of Environmental Sociology at the University of Alberta. Her research focuses on the social dimensions of global environmental change with emphasis on climate change, food and energy. She is a Visiting Fellow at CAS in the context of the CAS Research Focus Climate Futures. Her talk will explore the role of institutional cynicism across North American publics and its role in constraining progressive responses to the climate crisis.
