This year, LMU hosts the triennial conference of the International Association of University Professors of English (IAUPE), a global association of scholars and teachers dedicated to the study of English in all its facets, formed shortly after World War II.
This week-long conference brings senior representatives of English as an academic subject together for a wide-ranging array of plenaries, sections, and other formats of discussion and exchange. It is preceded by a one-day medieval symposium, held at Kloster Seeon.
Keynote speakers this year will be Prof. Andrew Hadfield (University of Sussex), Prof. Raymond Hickey (University of Limerick), and the renowned poet and translator Sasha Dugdale.
