To celebrate its 75th anniversary, Munich University Choir is devoting its semester concerts to the subject of freedom. Four new compositions were commissioned for this special project.
The choir secured the musical talent of Elisabeth Fußeder, Ola Gjeilo, Jaakko Mäntyjärvi, and Andrew Miller. In cooperation with these renowned composers, new works were created that musically explore the different facets of freedom.
The premiere of these pieces, and the performance of further works from the likes of Heinrich Schütz and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, will take place at two concerts on 3 and 4 August 2025 at 7:30 p.m. in the Great Aula at LMU Munich.
Tickets are available online at the choir’s shop and at München Ticket. Meanwhile, you can find further information on the Munich University Choir website.
